There are several areas where I differ with Doug Wilson, but without hesitation I can recommend his latest book, Wordsmithy. This is a short, very helpful little book (100 pages) that gives a lot of insightful advice for those wishing to grow in their ability to write. The brilliance of this book is in not just Wilson’s clear, practical counsel how to push ourselves to become better, more interesting writers, but the winsome manner Wilson writes this particular book models how to write in such a way. This is a must read for all those with aspirations to write.
All pastors should read this book as well for regardless whether you desire to write books or not, the advice herein will aid the writing of sermons, letters, articles, or blog posts within your local church ministry. You can find it on sale here.
