Preaching at the LRBA Annual Meeting (Sunday Afternoon)

For those in the Louisville area or close to it, I wanted to invite you to the annual meeting of the Long Run Baptist Association this Sunday afternoon (October 21@ Hurstbourne Baptist Church). The business session will begin at 3:30 pm, which will flow into the worship service and should end by 5:30 pm. As moderator this past year, I will be leading the business session and will preach a sermon during the service. This is a pivotal time for this association and an

important shift in direction will be proposed for a vote. I will also being addressing the churches and pastors represented on an important issue that has affected our churches for many years with hopes to equip each of us to plant and revitalize churches to look more like God’s design for the sake of the gospel. Even if you are not a member of a LRBA church, you are still welcome to come and be a part of this time. I would love to meet you if you are able to come. I would appreciate your prayers as I prepare to lead this time. A year ago, I wrote this post on what must we agree upon to associate with other local churches. My hope, by God’s grace, is that we will find we have made some fruitful ground since writing that post.
