Brian Croft and Jim Savastio interview veteran pastor Austin Walker about his decades in ministry and upcoming book, Short Counsels for a Long Ministry. Walker reflects on persevering through hardship, emphasizing that pastors must guard their own spiritual lives and care faithfully for their families. The discussion highlights Scripture, repentance, forgiveness, and honest modeling of Christian life at home.

How important are pastoral mentors in a pastor’s life? What steps can a pastor make to faithfully pursue mentors? What does it look like to move from mentored to mentoring others?

Brian and Jim answer these questions and more on this episode of Trench Talk.
